About the Job
Job Purpose:
- To assist the decision making process of the Management and other stakeholders by providing accurate and timely financial data.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Records and maintains appropriate financial transactions and accounts based on the company policies and procedures.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
- Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
- Prepares and maintains monthly bank account records, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
- Records revenues, expenses, accruals, adjustments, etc. accurately and appropriately.
- Posts transactions to general ledger accurately and timely.
- Records, corrects and adjusts journal entries and prepares trial balance.
- Collects and files financial documents from various units, and balance the daily records and prepares proof sheet and supporting documents.
- Maintains tracers for all suspense accounts and checks the agreement of the total with the respective general ledger balance.
- Prepares and submits timely, accurate, and complete periodic financial statements for review.
- Identifies and codes all financial documents based on chart of accounts of the Company.
- Organizes, files and keeps financial source documents.
- Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
About You
Qualifications
- B.A. Degree from recognized university in Accounting and Finance from recognized University, or other related educational fields/discipline.
Experience:
- 3 years work experience
Skills
- Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to Import and Export Trading company, Manufacturing industry and any other company project tasks;
- Basic knowledge of best practices in accounting and financial regulations and other account software;
- Advanced finance and accounting knowledge, including experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Strong communication and networking skills;
- Good presentation, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities;
