Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Agricultural Specialist with expertise in greenhouse management, hydroponic strawberry production, and advanced irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will lead our commercial greenhouse operations, implementing modern techniques to maximize yield, quality, and sustainability in strawberry cultivation using hydroponics and fertigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greenhouse Management

• Oversee daily operations of commercial greenhouse facilities
• Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, light, ventilation)
• Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
• Ensure proper sanitation and biosecurity protocols

2. Hydroponic Strawberry Production

• Manage all aspects of hydroponic strawberry cultivation (NFT, DWC, or other systems)
• Monitor plant health, growth stages, and fruit quality
• Optimize nutrient solutions for different growth phases
• Implement pollination strategies (natural or artificial)

3. Irrigation & Fertigation Systems

• Operate and maintain drip irrigation systems
• Manage fertigation scheduling and nutrient injection systems
• Monitor water quality, pH, and EC levels
• Troubleshoot irrigation system issues

4. Technical Operations

• Prepare nutrient solutions and monitor chemical balance
• Conduct regular water and tissue analysis
• Maintain accurate records of inputs, yields, and environmental data
• Implement data-driven decisions to improve production

5. Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise greenhouse staff and farm workers
• Train team members on modern agricultural techniques
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure safety protocols are followed

Required Qualifications

Education:

• BSc/MSc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
• Specialized training in greenhouse management/hydroponics preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in commercial greenhouse operations
• Proven experience in hydroponic strawberry production
• Hands-on experience with fertigation and drip irrigation systems
• Knowledge of climate control systems and greenhouse technology

Technical Skills:

• Hydroponic systems (NFT, DWC, Aeroponics)
• Strawberry cultivation techniques
• Fertigation, Nutrient solution preparation & Drip irrigation systems management
• Greenhouse environmental control
• IPM (Integrated Pest Management)
• Data recording and analysis
