Therefore, we are looking for a competent and talented native Amharic translator to hire as a full-time staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents assigned to him/her to and from Amharic and English
- Transcribe audio/video and translate to Amharic or English as needed
- Edit/proofread documents as assigned
- Manage translation projects assigned to him/her
- Deliver tasks on or before deadline
Job Requirements
- A minimum of BA/MA degree in English, Amharic, Journalism or other related fields
- A minimum of 2 years proven professional experience in translation
- Excellent writing skills in Amharic and English
- Strong skills of attention to detail
- Excellent use of computer applications and the internet
- Willing and motivated to learn new things
- Good command of Afan Oromo or Tigrigna is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and good interpersonal skills
