Job Summary:
The Assistant to the General Manager provides high-level administrative and operational support to The General Manager. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing communications, Supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring the daily operations of the business are efficient and Well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support
Manage the GM’s calendar, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Draft, proofread, and manage correspondence on behalf of the GM.
Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics.
2. Operational Support
Assist with the coordination and execution of daily business operations. Follow up on tasks, projects, and reports from different departments.Monitor and report on KPIs or operational metrics as directed by the GM.
3. Communication
Act as a liaison between the GM and internal/external stakeholders. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Communicate GM’s decisions and directives to relevant departments.
4. Project & Strategic Support
Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of strategic initiatives or special projects. Conduct basic research and analysis to support decision-making.Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
5. General Office Duties
Maintain filing systems, databases, and records. Order office supplies and ensure the GM’s workspace is organized .Perform other duties as assigned by the GM.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred, But not always required).
2. Experience: 4+ years in an administrative, executive assistant or operations support role. Experience working closely with senior leadership is an asset.
3. Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. High attention to detail and ability to multitask. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, or relevant software. Work place & Environment: Addis Ababa, Office-based (some travel or extended hours may be required depending on the need).
