Objective of the Auditing
In response to the government regulation which requires to announce a call for the audit firm on newspaper and for the sake of transparency in the process, it has been necessary for the NMC to make this announcement on the ethiojobs website. Therefore, NMC is looking for an eligible audit firm to conduct audit for the year ended December 31, 2020.
The purpose of the Auditing is to conduct financial audit of the financial statements of the NMC for the year ended December 31, 2020 as per the guidelines required by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE), Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
The financial statements preparation is based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements. Therefore, Qualification of the Audit Firm should fit to conduct audit work for the NMC.
Job Requirements
To this end, those Chartered Certified (Qualified) Audit Firms and whose name exists on the list from AABE are invited to participate by submitting the following pertinent information to the NMC.
- Qualifications and experiences of the firm’s Audit team;
- Classified as higher grade by the relevant Authorizing Agency;
- Tax Identification number and VAT registration evidence;
- Copy of renewed business license issued by the relevant Authority;
- Evidence/s of working experiences and a proven track record of successfully conducting auditing of IFRS (IFRS-SMEs) based Financial statements for other organizations;
- Copy of document testifying the settlement of the necessary government taxes;
- Time to complete the audit work, and
- Proposed Audit fee to be charged for the audit service.
How to Apply
The Audit firm is expected to submit their technical and financial proposal in separately sealed envelopes on or before the closing date.
