Brief Description: The Senior Car Rental & Transportation Officer is directly reporting to the Car Rent & Transport Manager of the company. His/her overall responsibilities is to plans, organize, direct, coordinate, controls, and manage the overall activities of Fleet division. Ensures that self and chauffeur driven vehicles are always ready and available in their duty stations: airports, railways, hotels, main office etc. For car hire and transfer services. Make follow-up that all customers are given appropriate services aiming at exceeding their expectations. Equips himself/herself with all the required information about car hire and transfer services, etc… then keeps the customers up-to-date with the above information as required

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, controls and manages the overall activities of Fleet Division.
  • Ensures that all self and chauffeur driven vehicles are always ready and available in their duty stations – airports, rail ways, hotels, head office etc. for car hire and transfer services.
  • Supervises, controls, makes follow-up that all customers are given proper and appropriate services aiming at exceeding their expectations.
  • Ensure, controls that all vehicles that are assigned for car hire and transfer services are in good order and condition.
  • Ensures that all the company’s vehicles are properly insured and their insurance policies are renewed annually.
  • Ensure that annual inspections of vehicles are carried out in time accordingly.
  • Ascertain that car hire service payments are effected in advance before services are rendered.
  • Equips himself / herself with all the necessary information about car hire and transfer activities, service prices etc. then keeps customers informed and up-to-date with the aforementioned information as required.
  • Effectively deals with customers enquiries, feedback, comments, complaints, then analyzes, evaluates and responds appropriately, immediately takes remedial measures as required.
  • Reviews the daily performance of car hire and transfer sales activities and other related services and takes appropriate action to ensure that plans, marketing programs, work schedules and objectives are fulfilled in time.
  • Ensures that daily sales revenue is deposited in the banks and all the necessary car rental sales transactions and documents are handed over to the finance department in time.
  • After conducting a thorough market research carefully and appropriately, prepares a car hire and transfer service prices and from time to time revises same depending upon market condition, competitors analysis etc…
  • Conducting job performance appraisal for employees under his / her supervision and submits for approval to the concerned work unit.
  • Prepares annual plan and budget for car hire and transfer sales and submits for approval to the concerned work unit.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually performance report of Fleet Division and submits to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other similar duties as and when assigned to him / her by immediate supervisor.
  • All other duties as required or needed.

About You
  • Minimum BSC degree in Management or Transport and Insurance or Automotive Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in car rent or transport Service or related Management. Preferably in-service giving sector.
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicates effectively, and promotes a team approach.
  • Ability to record fuel data’s and reconciles the amount with Gps report.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill is mandatory.
