Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Heal Africa Health City Share Company is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the company. The CEO will ensure the company’s mission, vision, and values are upheld while driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

The CEO serves as a strategic, visionary and influential leader with the skills, passion and commitment to advance transformative change in company business engineering. The CEO is to have a deep commitment to a consumer oriented approach, an innovative spirit, a collaborative orientation, excellent conceptual abilities, superior management skills, and the financial expertise to ensure a self-sustaining entity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Under the leadership of the governing board of directors, the incumbent is expected to discharge the following roles and responsibilities.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive corporate strategy aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong cooperation and collaboration with the governing board of the company.
  • Represent the company at national and international events communication with external stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and return on investment.
  • Manage risk and mitigate financial losses.
  • Provide overall leadership to the executive team and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through process improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions to enhance operations and customer experience.
  • Ensure timely and quality planning and reporting practice across the company.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  • Implement performance management and employee development programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies.

About You

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with some basic health background.
  • Proven track record as a CEO or senior executive in a healthcare or related industry.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and emerging trends.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing complex budgets and financial statements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Experience with corporate governance.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
  • Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
