Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Farm Manager with extensive expertise in large-scale coffee production, spice crops cultivation, and modern apiculture. The successful candidate will oversee our 1,000+ hectare commercial farm in Southwest Ethiopia, managing diverse agricultural operations while implementing sustainable and profitable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Large-Scale Coffee Farm Management
- Manage 1,000+ hectares of commercial coffee plantation
- Implement modern coffee agronomy practices (shade management, pruning, harvesting)
- Oversaw coffee processing (wet/dry methods) and quality control
- Manage coffee nursery operations and replanting programs
- Implement specialty coffee production protocols
2. Spice Crops Production
- Manage cultivation of Ethiopian spice crops (cardamom, turmeric, black pepper, cardamom)
- Develop intercropping systems with coffee
- Oversee spice processing, drying, and quality grading
- Implement value-addition strategies for spice products
3. Modern Apiculture & Beekeeping
- Manage commercial apiary with 200+ modern hives
- Implement migratory beekeeping practices
- Oversee honey production, extraction, and processing
- Manage bee health and disease control
- Develop value-added bee products (propolis, royal jelly, beeswax)
4. General Farm Operations
- Manage large farm workforce (100+ employees)
- Oversee farm mechanization and equipment maintenance
- Implement sustainable land management practices
- Manage budgets, inputs, and production costs
- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations
5. Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop annual production plans and budgets
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems
- Prepare regular progress reports for HQ/ investors
- Conduct yield analysis and productivity improvements

Required Qualifications
Education:
- BSc/MSc in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or Plant Sciences
- Additional training in coffee science or apiculture preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years in large-scale commercial farming
- Proven experience managing 500+ hectare coffee farms
- Hands-on experience with spice crops cultivation
- Commercial beekeeping and modern apiary management
- Experience in private investment agriculture
Technical Skills:
