ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of the CPIMS Coordinator position is to ensure CPIMS/CPIMS+ is functioning well and quality data and information is entered, maintained, analyzed and disseminated for effective reporting and documentation of program activities as per the Child protection requirements. She/he will be techinically assisted by  Child prorection manager/Advisor. And will be managing others NGOs CPIMS databases, And sending FTR case to Regional office Monthly will be touch responsibily of CPIMS Coordinator

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to:  Child Protection Manager

Staff directly reporting to this post: 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Manage CPIMS+/Primero Across Gambella
  • Closely work with UNHCR registration team to harmonize data and to update the ProGress data base.
  • Actively participate on Information Management Working Group Meeting and others.
  • Support the Preparation and delivery of technical trainings on CP IMS, Data management, provide coaching and technical support to the field officers and data clerks as needed.
  • Managing CPIMS by making sure that it is functioning well.
  • Customizing CPIMS data base according to CP programme .
  • Match inquirer information against UASC for reunification purpose.
  • Exporting data and importing data,
    • Review case load and monitoring statistics with the CP IMS officers/data entry clerks; setting targets for case follow-ups and closure and identifying gaps as appropriate.
    • Maintain an appropriate filling system of received, open and closed cases as received from field sites and from other partners.
  • Implement the Data Protection Policy and appropriate standards for confidentiality of the information on the children at Gambella and monitor staff and other partners’ adherence to it under the leadership and authority of the CP IMS Specialist.
  • Support the preparation and attend the CPIMS taskforce.
  • Orientate new data entry staff on CPIMS before they start working.
  • Making sure that data protocol is in place in all Camps.
  • Making sure that data Entries are fully engaged with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Addressing issues to Line manger if there is a gap on data quality for further fulfillment.
  • Assure protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back up.
  • Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained
    • Ensure that data entry work is implemented as planned and in line with Save the Children policies and procedures and meet the expected standards.
    • produce High quality, analytical reports and supply to SC program on regular basis
  • Other duties as assigned like IT related Issues.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Social Science, Computer Science, or Project Management.
  • Excellent skills in data visualization using different software including  Power BI,
  • Good communication skills in English and local language.

Desirable

  • Good analysis and report writing skills
  • Experience working in hardship area and in stressful condition preferred.
  • Experience in open source, mobile and emerging technology is extremely desirable.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Experience in producing clear and simple reports, including charts & graphs, for end-users.
  • Experience of training and capacity building.
  • Some experience of representation and ability to represent the CPIMS+ users effectively in external forums.
