Basic Job Description:
- Appraise, edit, and direct safekeeping of permanent records and historically valuable documents.
- Documents can be scanned and stored electronically or stored in a paper filing system.
- All relevant information must be recorded.
- All paper records must be legible, signed and dated.
- Records must be contemporaneous, accurate and kept up to date.
- Records must be written in plain English and Amharic avoiding jargon.
- Authenticate and appraise historical documents and archival materials.
Create and maintain accessible, retrievable computer archives and databases, incorporating current advances in electric information storage technology. - Direct activities of workers who assist in arranging, cataloguing, exhibiting and maintaining collections of valuable materials.
Locate new materials and direct their acquisition and display. - Organize archival records and develop classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials.
- Prepare archival records, such as document descriptions, to allow easy access to information.
- Preserve records, documents, and objects, copying records to film, videotape, audiotape, disk, or computer formats as necessary.
Research and record the origins and historical significance of archival materials. - Maintain and record company contracts and other important legal documents.
- Maintain and record important Minute including Procurement.
- Properly and safely file Company legal document.
- Issue, receive and take Company Official letter.
Job Requirements
Academic qualification:
- BA or TVET in IT Library Science IT and other related fields.
Experience፡
- At Least 4 years as documentation and Archives officer.
