Position: Driver & Procurement Officer

Theday Agro Industry PLC is an Ethiopian agro-processing company established in 2006. Founded to address the shortage of locally processed fruit products and reduce post-harvest losses, the company has grown into a modern fruit processing facility. Theday Agroindustry produces natural fruit jams and premium dried fruits using locally sourced raw materials and high food safety standards, while promoting sustainability, ethical sourcing and strong partnerships with farmers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Logistics
- Safely drive company vehicles for office, factory, procurement and field-related activities
- Transport goods, documents and staff as required
- Ensure proper handling and timely delivery of items
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and ensure timely servicing
Procurement & Purchasing Support
- Support procurement of inputs, materials and office supplies
- Collect quotations and assist in price comparisons
- Purchase approved items in line with company procedures
- Follow up with suppliers on availability, delivery and quality
- Support simple record-keeping for purchases and deliveries
About You
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Ethiopian driving license
- Proven driving experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Basic understanding of procurement or purchasing processes
- Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers and service providers
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
- Honest, reliable and well-organized
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the food sector
- Familiarity with procurement procedures
- Familiarity with Addis Ababa routes and nearby regions
- Basic computer skills (Excel or simple record sheets)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
