Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified Druggist to join our pharmacy team at Pharo Diagnostic and Clinical Services (PDCS) in Assosa. As a Druggist, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications while providing pharmaceutical care and guidance to patients.
The Druggist will ensure that prescriptions are prepared and dispensed accurately and safely, and will provide valuable pharmaceutical advice to patients. In this role, you will help optimize the safe use of medications and contribute to the overall efficiency of pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Preparation and Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense medications in compliance with legal, safety, and organizational standards.
- Patient Counseling: Provide advice on medication use, potential side effects, and proper treatment regimens to ensure patient safety and adherence.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all medication dispensed, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and medications are stored properly.
- Medication Information: Provide drug information and education to both patients and healthcare staff, helping them make informed decisions about medication use.
- Pharmacy Operations Support: Actively engage in daily pharmacy operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications and contributing to overall patient care.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid license to practice as a Druggist in Ethiopia.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy or drug dispensing role Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formulations, drug interactions, and general pharmacology.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Customer Service: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formulations, drug interactions, and general pharmacology.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Customer Service: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent patient care.
