Description:
- The Electrical and Automation Section Head is responsible for leading and supervising all electrical, electronic, and automation maintenance activities of factory machines and utilities. The role ensures reliable operation, reduced downtime, compliance with safety standards, and continuous improvement of electrical and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown electrical and automation maintenance activities.
- Ensure availability, proper use, and cost-effective management of electrical spare parts and consumables.
- Diagnose electrical and automation failures, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and improvement actions.
- Oversee installation, modification, and integration of new machines and electrical lines.
- Prepare technical specifications and participate in procurement and incoming inspection of electrical equipment and spare parts.
- Monitor machine downtime, track maintenance man-hours, and report performance against KPIs.
- Coordinate inspection and preventive maintenance programs with Production and Mechanical teams.
- Ensure operational readiness, cleanliness, and safety of panels, motors, switchboards, and automation systems.
- Train, coach, mentor, and develop electrical and automation technicians.
- Ensure compliance with company rules, safety regulations, and maintenance standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical and automation maintenance within an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment (e.g., food & beverage, bottling, consumer goods).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, automation controls, motors, drives, and panel boards.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
- Ability to prepare technical specifications, drawings, and maintenance reports.

- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
