Evertop Sportswear Plc. is establishing a garment factory in Bole Lemi Industrial Park, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Evertop plans to manufacture wearing apparel for the export market. Evertop is looking for highly motivated and experienced personnel to fill the following position.
Job Summary
Plan and executed electrical maintenance and repair work so that the plant and machinery in the entire facility is available as needed and when required.
Key responsibilities
- Recommends electrical system requirements for facilities and conducts technical inspections on new installations of electrical systems, modifications of existing equipment, motors, and related electrically operated apparatus.
- Determines routing, location and method of installing industrial wiring, conduit, equipment, fixtures, and accessories from complex industrial drawings, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, blueprints, and sketches.
- Tests, calibrates, and programs breaker trip settings and functions.
- Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots operations of PLC systems.
- Perform scheduled inspections and review of all electrical panels, perform proper preventative maintenance on all associated electrical equipment, and upgrade electrical equipment.
- Prepares work schedules and coordinate maintenance schedule with integrated teams as well as prepare technical reports of electrical operational issues.
- Perform the calculations involved in the operation of sizing Industrial Electrical Services, Transformers, UPS Units, Panels, Breakers, Box and Conduit Fill and Wire Sizes.
- Report major problems/ concerns to the concerned parties immediately.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Perform other related jobs when instructed by his immediate supervisor.
About You
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution and /or TVET Graduate in Electrical installation or related Courses.
Experience: At least 2 Years experience as an Electrical Engineer for degree holders and For TVET Graduates 3 years Experience and above in manufacturing industry is advantageous.
Additional requirements:
- Training in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting/electrical diagnostics
- Proficient in Ms-Office /Ms Project
- Team Player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Results oriented individual with strong analytical skills and an eye for details.
- Ability to handle diverse challenges and cope with difficult working environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to find solutions to problems and understand the inter-dependencies between applications and systems.
- Decisiveness with excellent judgement
- Excellent interpersonal skills – builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good command of verbal and written communication skills in English.
