The company produces its main products under a franchise agreement from the French company, Nutriset. BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Under supervision, undertakes routine, minor, and medium electrical and electronic maintenance and overhaul of plant machinery, equipment and instruments; carries out preventive maintenance; utilizes received materials effectively and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Undertakes routine, minor, and medium electrical and electronic maintenance and overhaul of plant machinery, equipment and instruments;
2. Installs and checks electrical and electronic systems
3. Carries out preventive maintenance of plant machinery, equipment and instruments.
4. Assists lead and senior electricians in major electrical and electronic maintenance and overhaul tasks;
5. Applies drawings, charts and catalogues in carrying out maintenance assignments;
6. Utilizes received parts and materials effectively and efficiently, returns back old replaced parts.
7. Observes safety regulations, regulations and practices;
8. Guides and coaches Junior electricians
9. Troubleshoots and provides quick remedial maintenance in case of failure and malfunctioning of machinery and equipment
10. Makes ready maintenance tools and equipments before start of maintenance task; and cleans and keeps the same in proper order when the maintenance task is over
11. Registers performance & report records
12. Ensure that all problems related to food safety management system is reported to immediate supervisor and Quality personnel.
13. Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements of local, national and international laws related to environmental standards and end client’s environmental requirements.
14. Ensure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
15. Determine environmental aspects and impacts and devise methods to prevent or reduce these environmental impacts.
16. Use the 3R + 1R rule (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.
17. Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015).
18. Performs any other related tasks as required.
