Job Summary

General Accountant is reporting to the Administration and Finance Head and is responsible for the overall functions to financial transaction, register day to day finance transaction, collect monthly bank transaction report, organizing periodic financial reports to concerning bodies, control materials that collect for sales and the money properly collected or not, prepare payment for government duties on time, responsible for auditing by IFRS, prepare payroll, work inventory and cost, register by Peachtree, plan and report on time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Based on company plan; organizing, leading, evaluating, planning and reporting the finance work.
  • Register bank and finance related documents.
  • • Prepare VAT, withhold, income tax and pension payment and report on time, collect receivable   money from revenue office.
  • Prepare register and control check payment.
  • Control all company accounts.
  • Work stock card and cost properly, check and balance the inventory after each sale.
  • Prepare company budget distribution and submit for comment to the managemet.
  • Organize and document all company assets, inventory, raw material properly.
  • Register company raw material, finished goods, spare parts and other assets by type and cost with coordinating production and sales department.
  • Register properly receivable, payable and other accounts.
  • Prepare and pay salary for all employees on time.
  • Develop new methods for facilitating finance work easily.
  • Calculate company assets depreciation and amortization based on IFRS rule.
  • Change receivable accounts to cash.
  • He/she is accountable for any delay and lost because of his/her ignorance; follow up, lost document, information miss use and customer dissatisfaction.
  • Prepares qualified report for Azila management and TIRET’s management.
  • Creating innovative ideas concerning the department and implement for further improvement.
  • Undertake such other duties as reasonably required.
  •  He/she is responsible preparing documents for internal and external auditors.

Job Requirements

Education:-

  •  BA/MA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Finance & Investment and related fields
Experience:-
  •  After graduation 6 years for BA Degree, 4 years for MA Degree Relevant work experience in Accountant.

Other Personal Attributes

  • Having good experience in accounting, working in a team, Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes, Data collection and management, Analytical and research skills, Good report writing in Amharic & English, Good interpersonal skills, Excellent Computer knowledge (MS Office, Peachtree). Time Management, Strategic thinking and Planning and well disciplined.

Technical Skills required

  • Manufacturing company experience is preferable.
  • IFRS certified mandatory.
  • Peachtree certified mandatory.
