Job Summary: –
Develop and take a lead role in delivering an employee engagement and retention strategy for Dashen Brewery. Lead in the development of the employee engagement and internal communications strategies and drive internal engagement by developing effective communication campaigns to ensure that Dashen Brewery’s mission, values, and objectives, are met and clearly communicated to employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a comprehensive & sustainable employee engagement strategy in collaboration with the HRD
- Work with the HRD, HR & Department Managers to design, deploy, and evaluate effective and efficient employee engagement surveys
- Responsible for design and delivery of people and organizational development strategies and management;
- Design & conduct an employee engagement survey & follow-up on action plan execution
- Conduct employee focus groups discussion to complement engagement surveys
- Work with each department to enable them to analyze their own result and to help them develop their own action plans
- Create an effective communication plan and provide feedback on engagement survey result to the management team and employees
- Leverage events to create and sustain dialogue around employee engagement
- Identify and address issues and solutions related to employee engagement
- Help department managers to determine links between engagement and outcomes such as; labor turnover, grievances.
- Manage the general Employee Engagement Survey and other projects which enable senior leaders to keep in touch with employee views and ideas, and to evaluate the success of Dashen’s internal communication practices.
- Develop and deliver a program of employee events that help drive internal engagement including directors’ question-time, the annual celebration.
- Create a comprehensive internal communication strategy to cascade down vision, mission, purpose and values.
- Build Internal Communications capacity and develop and implement best practice standards for internal communication practice across the company to foster a positive company culture.
- Crate a yearly internal communication and employee’s events plan
- Work with the HRD & Senior Management team to develop strategies and demonstrable links between engagement and company strategic goals.
- Work closely with the IT/web team to evaluate communication and collaboration technologies and ensure chosen solutions help deliver the internal communication strategy.
- Work closely with other communication teams to ensure that messages communicated internally are consistent and coordinated with external messages.
- Manage and monitor the internal communications budget, adhering to financial guidelines, ensuring value for money and acting as appropriate within delegated authorities.
- Asses and manage all incoming communications requests, providing advice on appropriate approach, style, tone and cascade of communication.
- Enable corporate thinking and the communication of coherent joined up messages by developing a strong understanding of key company issues, and linkages between departments.
- Advise and support the senior management team with regard to communications which engage and inspire employees
- Coach and support senior leaders and managers in how to communicate news, information, projects and initiatives to employees effectively in order to achieve the desired results.
- Manage the development and delivery of creative and influential communication campaigns to help engage employees with programs of companies change, projects, initiatives and events.
- Prepare comprehensive bimonthly and quarterly report on key result areas in relation to the post.
- Assist the HR Director in the preparation of the annual HRD department report.
- Prepare reports of field visits conducted if any
- Use internal and external networks to locate and reach out to ideal training and training centers and also best HR practices for organizational learning.
- Work together with other HR teams to establish a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the organization, both internally and externally.
Job Requirements
Required Qualification & Experience
- BA Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Management, Public Administration or equivalent
- At least 6 years relevant experience in employee engagement and social initiative assignments and 2 years in a managerial role
