About the Job

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring compliance of all hygiene and sanitation standards as per related regulations and national standards
  • provision of hygiene and cleaning materials for required department
  • Conduct awareness and enhance hygiene behavior change in line with national Sanitation and hygiene implementation strategies
  • Monitor and assure good personal hygiene practices by all employees
  • Develop training materials to promote safe practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of facilities and related equipment
  • Checks on daily basis the cleanliness of offices, factory floors, toilets and compound
  • Assure the sanitation of machinery, production facilities and accessories, supervises the application of pesticides and pest control
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training to workers handling hygiene and sanitation and GMP
  • Participate and assist new projects in terms of hygiene and sanitation
  • Handle hygiene and sanitation related matters with regulatory authorities
  • Ensure that all hygiene and sanitation activities are done according to a written procedure and using relevant forms.
  • Requesting and following up the procurement of hygiene and sanitation materials and ensure the availability of sanitation materials
  • Review and update hygiene and sanitation procedures currently in use.
  • Validate hygiene and sanitation activities are meeting intended purposes.
  • Monitors all hygiene and sanitation activities of machinery, tanks, hoses, production areas and ensure the proper documentation of each activity.
  • Monitor solid waste management and proper waste disposal management
  • Identify PPE items needed by hygiene and sanitation workers.
  • Work with pertinent departments to ensure the effluent from cleaning activities meets the standards of EPA and other government authorities.
  • Performs on other duties as directed by line manager

QUALIFICATIONS:-

  • Educational Qualification required
  • University degree in Environmental Health, Water supply, Public Health, Health Education, or a related subject.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, and an ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Desired spoken and written English.
  • Good computer skills (particularly Excel, Word, and PPT)

Experience: –

  • Solid experience of which experience in the Sanitation & hygiene (2+ years) in manufacturing responsibilities in FMCG industries. Training in ISO 9001:2015 QMS AND ISO 22000 FSMS is a requirement.
