Responsibilities:
- Must have full knowledge of Import/Export procedures.
- Must have full knowledge of Ethiopian Customs/Banks/Insurance rules and procedures
- Responsible to monitor the import/export process to/from Ethiopia to from any destinations, including all documentation and dealing with relevant organizations/companies;
- Responsible to communicate and maintain relationship with shipping & forwarding agents, all ocean/air operators, with booking agents to ensure clearance, accountability and proactively working in handling the supply chain;
- Expert in proper documentation and avoiding procrastination
- Responsible to communicate and maintain relationship with all couriers companies including but not limited to DHL/FedEx/UPS
- Responsible and accountable for advanced planning of logistics provider capacity and volume forecasting to protect on–time shipping and delivery;
- Control all raw materials importing, record update on voucher book, cross check all shipping documents from supplier before shipment;
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for all suppliers;
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received in ERP system;
- Communicate efficiently with finance, merchandising and other relevant departments within the organization
- Buyer/Supplier co-operation and communications;
- Follow-up purchase orders status, delivery schedule and shipping document;
- Prepare and process all import/export related documents with banks, insurance , customs and other required organizations/companies;
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers/buyers.
- To handle courier related works like DHL/Fedex etc (import and export)
- Understand ISO system

About You
- 3 years of work experience related to the field mentioned above and dealing with forwarder or oversea shipping agent;
- Experience with import/export role along with Single Window application system,
- Experience in dealing with customs/banks/insurance/forwarders
- Understand voucher system and duty free;
- Excellent in basic computer skill (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point, email communications, online applications)
