BACKGROUND
The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly known as the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is a strategy and delivery-oriented government institute created to help accelerate the growth and transformation of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector, which is a key contributor to the country’s GDP, exports, and workforce. The ATI’s work is centred on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers (SHFs) across the country for improved income, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability.
The ATI works to transform the agriculture sector in Ethiopia by conducting policy and analytical studies, providing technical implementation support and capacity building, coordinating. platforms to better integrate partners and projects and designing and directly leading several innovative/pilot interventions. The Institute joins forces with various stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, farmers, and development partners, to support the implementation of agricultural development programs and initiatives. In addition, the ATI collaborates with national and international partners to facilitate knowledge exchange and learning opportunities. The Institute plays a crucial role in generating and disseminating information to support evidence-based decision-making in Ethiopia’s agricultural sector.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Senior manager resources, the Junior Human Resource Officer is Works closely with HR team members to handle HR Operational activities related to employee relations, and talent acquisition, and other activities in the team
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the Talent Acquisition Process
• Contacting shortlisted candidates, sharing the required information, and booking interview venue
• Managing the written test and the flow of candidates to the interview room
• Coding, sharing the written test with the hiring managers, and collecting the results accordingly
• Maintaining the reserved candidates’ profiles and pending recruitment and selection process files
Providing High-quality HR services
• Issuing ID cards, business cards, and swift cards for new staff and existing staff as per the request
• Managing stationery supply for the Team in collaboration with the Logistics and Administration team
• Issuing different employee support letters as per the requisite.
Maintaining the hard part of HRIS
• Establishing, updating, and maintaining staff personal files with full support documents
• Updating the employee file with hardcopy with different files concerning the employee,
• Controlling the movement of employee files during auditing and updating.
• Uploading/ establishing staff personal files from the hard copy into the ERP HR module
Medical insurance
• Updating staff when their request for medical expenses reimbursement is returned due to errors
Other duties
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications, competencies, skills, training, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field of study with at least 2 years relevant experience in NGOs, big private companies, or government organizations
- Good understanding of human resources management principles, and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work with diversified teams
- Proactive to work with minimum supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong skills and willingness to work in a team.
- Familiar with Ethiopian public service proclamation.
- Experience in preparing payroll.
- Working skills of ERP.
