About the Job

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the flow of materials from suppliers to storage areas and operation lines.
  • Ensure that materials are received, inspected, and stored according to company standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with operation and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Lead the movement of materials between locations, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting regular counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating inventory records.
  • Store materials in designated locations with proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Monitor stock levels of critical materials, alerting the Inventory and Materials Management Manager to potential shortages or overstock situations.
  • Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy in reporting.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve issues related to order discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Collaborate with logistics providers and arrange transportation and delivery of materials.
  • Track and manage incoming shipments, updating relevant stakeholders on the status and expected delivery times.
  • Address any issues related to damaged or incomplete deliveries, working with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve them.
  • Handle materials safely and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for materials handling, including proper lifting techniques, use of equipment, and storage procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized materials storage area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing the risk of accidents.
  • Train and supervise staff involved in materials handling, ensuring that they understand and follow safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issues, in the company’s inventory management system.
  • Ensure that all materials management activities comply with company policies.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for materials management activities, including reports, logs, and audit records.
About You

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience.
