About the Job

Primary Job Roles:

  • Counter Operations & Team Supervision Lead and oversee daily operations at the parts counter, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to global service standards. Supervise, train, and motivate counter representatives and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Sales & Business Development Drive sales of genuine spare parts to retail customers, service workshops, and field technicians. Actively promote the brand’s value proposition—durability, reliability, and performance—while meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Technical Support & Expertise Utilize electronic parts catalogs and dealer management systems to accurately identify part numbers. Provide technical guidance to customers and service teams, ensuring correct parts selection for excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and mining trucks.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control Maintain precise inventory records by conducting cycle counts, auditing bin locations, and reconciling discrepancies with the warehouse manager. Ensure optimal stock levels to support high parts availability and minimize downtime for customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management Build strong, long-term relationships with contractors, mining companies, and agricultural clients. Resolve inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and reinforcing the brand’s reputation for premium support.
  • Order & Logistics Management Process sales orders efficiently, manage “will call” and back-order files, and coordinate with logistics teams to track shipments and expedite delayed orders.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory accuracy, and customer service metrics for submission to the Parts Manager and senior management.
About You
  • In-depth understanding of heavy machinery and their components, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and electronic catalogs.
  • Skilled in ERP systems (SAP, DBS, or equivalent) and dealer management platforms.
  • Excellent command of English and Amharic, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in parts sales, inventory management, or technical support within the heavy machinery industry.
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or team-lead role, preferably with premium OEM brands.
