About the Job
Job Purpose
To supervise and maintain all farmland are free from pesticide, herbicides etc.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs and conducts periodic reviews and appraisals of the situation of plant pest and pesticide problems in the farm,
- Advice the farm manager on necessary actions to implement pest and pesticide management techniques,
- Prepare pest assessment schedule (Variety, Plot),
- Prepare pest assessment reports in type of pests, stage of the pest and/or the attack level and submits the report daily for decision,
- Collect samples of unknown pests and weeds and submits for his nearest boss for identification,
- Assess the post spraying the pest control chemical efficacy,
- Keep records of sprayed plots and varieties regularly,
- Inspect the chemical spraying activity on the field and check the technic and condition of spraying, recommend corrective action,
- Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
About You
Qualification and Skills
- BSc or MSc in Agricultural engineering or Agronomy or Horticulture or Related fields of studies.
Experience:
- 4 years for BSc
- 2 years for MSc
Skills:
- Emergency Situations management skills
- Pest Control & Management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Communication skills.
