Job Summary
The Production Manager is overall responsible and accountable for the proper functioning of the production department and smooth operation of the factory upon the agreed performance standards. As the Line Manager (LM), the role provides a common standard of communication and engagement across the factory. Liaise closely with the core factory functions, including Warehouse, HR, Quality, Technique and Safety to achieve this.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate and realize the proper implementation of production policies.
- Ensure the proper planning, implementation, and controlling of the product design & development, capacity, process, facility layout, and production technology & resources of production department.
- Determine and track most important manufacturing KPIs.
- Lead and project manage capability trials and technology build related to innovation, outsourcing, and savings initiatives including project planning with appropriate functional stakeholders (technology, R&D, Quality)
- Overseeing the proper preparation and timely issue of the S&Op plan in consultation with Factory Manager and other concerned managers.
- Ensuring that production plans are loaded in such a way that meets the requirement of the budget and profit plans.
- Effectively coordinate and ensure for the realization of the production objectives.
- Ensuring that resources required for production are provided well in time for meeting the production targets.
- Controlling that technical efficiencies are within the given budget limit or (there is minimum possible deviation between actual & standards).
- Facilitate and approve production related material and personnel requirement plans of the department.
- Proper keeping and distribution of production data.
- Prepare and submit reports on time with accurate figures & facts to the Factory Manager and occasionally send the copies to other concerned parties of the group.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Ensure proper implementation of EHS guidelines and Policies
- Handle administrative matters (such as assignment of personnel, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions) delegated to the production department by the collective agreement between employees and company.
- Participate in the management committee consultations, activities, and decisions of the company to a degree that the administrative regulations and norms allowed.
- Any other duties which may be assigned on time to time basis, as per the administrative policies of the organization and as/if indicated in terms of employment contract entered with.
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: –
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or MA in Chemical engineering.
- Excellent understanding of an production process and new product development.
- Proven experience in technology evaluation and delivering to business needs.
Experience: –
- 10+years’ experience in production, Technology, Research &Development processing or Manufacturing role.
