About the Job

Supervision of the Technical Aspects:

 Ensure that all designs and engineering plans produced are compliant to prescribed specifications and legal requirements during project development stages.

 Guide teams through technical issues encountered while working on projects by coming up with innovative solutions aimed at improving overall outcomes realized.

 Materials Management and Control:

 Managing procurement activities including purchasing, receiving and warehousing of materials required for execution of projects

 Building relationships with suppliers; negotiating contracts for favorable terms

 Balancing supply against demand through the application best inventory control practices so as not to cause any time overruns in completing projects.

Site Supervision:

 Providing supervisory services on construction sites thereby ensuring smooth running of operations;

 Maintaining discipline among site engineers by ensuring that they adhere to safety regulations stipulated within their areas of operation as well project good practice guidelines related quality assurance measures during implementation stage.

 Keeping track closely to project timelines then notifying PM when issues arise because them being his eyes

Execution Of Project Contracts:

 Manage all contract agreements associated with specific projects while taking into consideration external contractors’ need fulfilment such as service delivery among others;

 Monitor actual costs incurred vis-à-vis time taken against what was agreed upon while engaging stakeholders proactively whenever there is deviation from those terms.

Quality control:

Overseeing quality control initiatives meant for projects so that standards are met throughout every step taken towards their realization;

 Conducting inspections aimed at verifying adherence to set criteria besides mentoring junior staff members on how best they can improve their workmanship.

Coordination of Material Supplies:

 Superintending over processes involved in material supply chain management inclusive stock keeping warehousing and distribution functions;

 Coming up with strategies geared towards minimizing wastage while maximizing resource utilization efficiency levels within the organization.

 Collaborating closely with various teams involved in different project undertakings by accurately forecasting needs for materials thereby ensuring that required quantities reach sites when needed.

About You

Education Level:

Masters/ Bachelor degree in civil Engineering

Minimum Years of Experience:

12+ years of working on construction sites as a Project Manager or Technical Director.

Skills:

 Strong leadership skills; ability to manage teams effectively

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Proficient with project management software/tools

 Good knowledge of construction processes as well regulatory standards governing them at different levels.

 Good negotiation skills when dealing suppliers/contractors relationships maintenance.

 Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

 Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously; In depth understanding about quality assurance principles & practices; Knowledgeable in inventory management techniques/systems
