About the Job

Purpose of the Job:

 

To identify needs and resources and support the development of concept notes and proposal by working closely with relevant thematic departments.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Support the management of external relationships with partners, donors and stakeholders;
  • Support the proposal and concept note development process by identifying calls for proposals and sharing information with Partnership Director;
  • Assist in the development of MoUs and Partnership agreements with partners;
  • Participate in building and nurturing partnerships with other organizations, key stakeholders and counterparts;
  • Develop donor mapping and analysis document;
  • Develop and maintain partners/donors’ databases (including focal persons, their contact details, and address) and ensure the database is up to date;
  • Support in conducting stakeholders’ mapping and analysis;
  • Work closely with monitoring and evaluation teams to develop M&E plan and calendar and in the integration of lessons learned, best practices, and project recommendations into new project design processes;
  • Provide M&E support for the compilation and completion of donor reports and the design and roll-out of reporting initiatives;
  • Support thematic departments’ teams, coordinators, and directors in organizing and facilitating project development and learning meetings;
  • Participate in relevant working groups/committees, staff meetings as assigned by the director;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

About You

Qualifications and Experience

  • MA/LLB or BA in other relevant social science studies.
  • 4 years of relevant experience for LLB/BA and 2 years of relevant experience for MA.
  • Knowledge of resource mobilization and project development and management.
  • Knowledge in project management software is advantageous.
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Amharic and English is required
  • Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
