Job Description
Accountability and Responsibilities:
a. QMCo will have senior level responsibility to organize and implement quality management activates via the approval of Medical director.
b. Medical Director will work closely with QMCo to orient, mentor, direct the QMCo.
c. QMCo will organize, inform, guide QMT and on quality management activates
d. QMCo will have authority to follow-up; suggest improvements for QM Team on quality management activates with the approval of Medical Director and approval of CEO.
e. QMCo is responsible to the medical Director but has a doted line responsibility to the CEO.
f. Encourages the participation of all staff in quality management processes at all levels from the grass roots all the way up to the senior management.
Duties:
a. To co-ordinate and empower Quality management team by:
1. Helping them to see the vision of the hospital and Quality improvement.
2. Educating the team about Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Quality improvement (QI) and setting goals
3. Guiding the QM team members to implement QL activates in their departments/units
4. Following-up on the QI strategies and doing audits with the team members
5. Giving them constructive feedback through audits
b. To develop the quality management strategy and present for the senior Management team to approval.
c. To develop an implementation plan for the quality management strategy and monitor its execution,
d. To ensure that quality management activities relate to the vision and mission of the hospital and are aligned with the hospital strategic and annual plans,
e. To co-ordinate all quality management activities,
f. To promote and support the participation of all staff in quality management activities.
g. To receive and analyze feedback information from patients, staff and visitors,
h. To receive clinical audit reports and maintain a record of all clinical audit activities,
i. To review selected hospital morbidity and mortality reports
j. To monitor HMIS performance
k. To conduct peer review in response to specific quality and safety concerns and to take Appropriate action and follow-up when deficiencies are identified, and
l. To update hospital staff on quality management activities and findings including:
a. Comparisons across time
b. Comparisons between case teams /departments,
c. Comparisons with other health facilities.
m. Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements
B.Sc. Degree in Nursing
5+years experience
