Main purpose of the job
As a Radiologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients by using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, ultrasounds, interpreting MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging modalities. Your expertise and interpretation of these images will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities and tasks
Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, mammograms, and other radiographic examinations. |
Analyze patient medical histories and symptoms to determine the appropriate imaging techniques to use. |
Review and interpret imaging results, providing accurate and timely diagnoses to referring physicians. |
Consult with other medical professionals to discuss patient cases and provide expertise in imaging-related matters. |
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during radiographic procedures, following established protocols and guidelines. |
Stay up to date with advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and protocols, and incorporate them into clinical practice. |
Participate in quality assurance activities, including monitoring and maintaining radiology equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. |
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans based on imaging results. |
Provide guidance and supervision to radiology technologists and other staff members involved in imaging procedures. |
Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging findings, reports, and other relevant information. |
Reports any particularities to your superior |

About You
Education, knowledge and skills
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of a residency program in radiology.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various imaging modalities, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and mammography.
- Proficient in interpreting and analysing medical images to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and explain imaging results to patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient care and safety, adhering to ethical and professional standards.
