Job Summary

The RSM plays a pivotal role within the BGI sales organization and will be critical in developing and driving a winning trade strategy and operational excellence and achieving market leadership of route to market. The RSM will lead a team of area sales manager within a nominated region and is responsible for managing distribution/sales of the BGI brand and volume growth. The role is 75% field based in the field and 25% in the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Focused adaptation of relevant Sales and Trade Marketing strategies and tactics to facilitate revenue and market share growth in assigned regions.

  • Effective management of Direct & Indirect regional sales force and broad assortment of fast growing BGI portfolio

  • Develop and implement regional channel strategy that will be effective considering geographical peculiarities while ensuring that the regional flexibility is in line with the overall BGI strategic framework.

  • Drive effectiveness and efficiency at all levels of the trade especially at the point of sales/consumption through excellent outlet execution, activating the focus customer and consumer drivers to achieve competitive advantage.

  • Develop and implement structured program that will track and respond to the evolving and diversified approach of competition in the country.

  • Develop and train the human resources in the regions through formal training and field coaching.

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree / BSc from any Field of Education.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience

  • Good knowledge in Sales processes, operations and controls

  • Good Presentation and communication skills

  • Good handling of Microsoft Office tools

  • Languages: Fluent English, needed for interaction (Presentation, reading, written, spoken)

  • Computer Literacy

  • Experience as a Line Manager with man-management skills is an advantage.

  • Possess a natural constructive but challenging mind-set with proven ability to influence others.

  • Good knowledge of Sales operations

  • Ability to collect & analyse data, evaluate information and apply logical judgment.
