About the Job

Scope of Role

  • The regional trade marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, aligning, implementing, controlling, and reporting of outlet-based customer/ B2B and consumer activities by closely working in collaboration with the sales team. In addition. He/she is responsible for guiding and deploying Point of Sale materials and ensuring that every trade marketing activity is conducted in alignment with the brand’s and regional trade marketing strategic targets.
  • He/ she works extensively with the sales team of the region and with the HQ marketing team
  • The main purpose of the role is to ensure the effective execution of trade marketing customer and consumer programs and distribution of POS material in the region in a way that is aligned with the overall trade marketing strategy and standard.
  • To take ownership, plan, execute, and evaluate trade marketing activities, consumer & customer promotions, by incorporating the market insight/feedback from the region, and by closely working with the sales and marketing team.
  • To coordinate the availability and distribution of trade marketing resources planned/needed for the region
  • For instance, cash, brand promoters , point of sales materials, fridge, etc., by keeping an inventory of these resources through the use of a digital system and anticipating for future needs promptly.

    Trade visibility, POS material deployment, and Asset Management.

  • Ensure execution of the district’s Picture of Success strategy for visibility items deployment.
  • Measure the productivity of fridges in his/her district and take appropriate actions.
  • Conduct market visits with the sales team to assess the need in the market
  • Assist the trade marketing manager in the selection and allocation of trade marketing materials for the region.
  • Assure the deployment of point of sales materials as per the PICOS.
  • Assure material placement / Ensure usage is aligned with the brand and trade marketing strategy.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms for all trade marketing materials allocated for the region and maintain updated and accurate records of inventory.
  • Assist in improving trade visibility of the region by gathering feedback from the market on trade marketing materials and conducting periodic in-market checks on high-value merchandise.

    Activation and in-outlet events

  • Identifying major events aligning with the brands of the company, craft activation mechanics based on customer and consumer insights, while depicting them on the activation Calendar with organized planning of the quarter ahead.
  • Develop activation mechanisms that are driven by the region’s market insights
  • Assure alignment of activations with brand and trade marketing strategic plan.
  • Involved in the selection of outlets in the pre-activation phase, making sure they meet selection criteria , visiting during execution, and measuring post-activation impact.
  • Assist in the allocation of adequate resources for the activation/event.
  • Assure the availability and distribution of activation resources in a timely and structured manner.
  • E.g., visibility materials, Brand promoters, cash.
  • Recruit and hire brand promoters for the territory and train them on activations/event execution procedures.
  • Manages external staff responsible for the regional activations and events, mainly brand promoters.
  • Excel the promotion of outlet-based events using various channels, e.g , posters, banners, social media, in coordination with the consumer marketing team.

About You

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2> years’ experience in sales, marketing, or related fields

Skills:

  • High level of planning and organizing competencies.
  • High level of commercial and business understanding.
  • Energetic and market-driven attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others.
  • Attention to detail and proper record-keeping.
  • English and Amharic are spoken and written fluently.
  • Proficient in the use of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Driven to work in the field for at least half the time and able to work evenings.
