The Sales, Marketing, and Business Development Director drives revenue growth, brand visibility, and market expansion by developing and executing strategic plans. This role leads sales teams, oversees marketing initiatives, and identifies new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with company objectives. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use this information to identify potential growth areas and market opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth. Define short-term and long-term goals, strategies, and tactics to expand the company’s market share and revenue.
- Partnership and Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with clients and agents to identify mutually beneficial opportunities and strategic alliances.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Lead sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- New Market Entry: Identify and evaluate new markets. Develop market entry strategies, including pricing, and promotional plans.
- Product and Service Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for new product or service offerings based on customer feedback and market demand.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with business development initiatives. Develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing business development team. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members to ensure the achievement of goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or other advanced degrees can be an advantage.
- decade (10) years of professional engagement in sales, marketing, or related fields, and within this span, a substantial five-year engagement specifically concentrated on business development, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Experience in strategic planning and market analysis is crucial. A minimum of two years immersed in the logistics sector is required
