About the Job

Role Summary:

The incumbent supports the Sales team by developing and implementing a holistic capability development program to be delivered to all sales staffs in order to up-skill the function and drive business growth and sustainability. Strategize and implement coaching and mentoring needs towards the realization of a highly capable sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Capability Development 

  • Effective coaching of staff throughout the nation to increase Sales capability and performance
  • Carry out periodic and timely training need analysis as per the business requirement using the various tools and instruments to measure the levels of knowledge and skills
  • Develop & implement the Sales Development / Capability strategy for HBSC
  • Build & develop all the appropriate training manuals for the Department

Effective Route-to-Market operation

  • Support for the Area Sales Managers and their Distributors on route planning.
  • Supporting the execution & migration of all marketing resources.
  • Jointly accountable with the Divisional Managers for the proper execution of our RTM Strategy.

Consistent ways of working 

  • Develop and organize ways of working for sales and distribution department (distribution, warehousing, and sales).
  • Closely work with Divisional and Area Sales managers to make sure that the company is following a consistent way of working across the board.
  • Coaching, mentoring and exchanging best practices across sales divisions.

New Market Development (International)

  • Support our RTM expansion into other Africa Countries incl. other international markets.
  • Conducting feasibility studies of foreign markets.
  • Propose for MT on the potential of foreign markets.

About You

  • MA/BA Degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), including merchandising, sales, distribution, marketing, coaching, and Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing sales capability programs and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach sales teams effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive business growth through effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
