Job Summary
Angla Burger is looking for a Senior HR Generalist to oversee all human resources functions across our restaurant branches. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance. The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in strengthening our company culture, optimizing HR processes, and ensuring HR strategies align with business goals in Ethiopia’s dynamic hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Policy Implementation
- Implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and promote a strong workplace culture.
- Work closely with management to ensure HR strategies support business growth and employee engagement.
Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, ensuring the company attracts, selects, and retains top talent.
- Manage onboarding processes to help new employees integrate smoothly into the company.
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
- Act as a key point of contact for employees, handling inquiries and resolving conflicts professionally.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that enhances employee satisfaction.
Training & Development
- Oversee training programs to improve employee skills and support career growth.
- Identify and address training needs to enhance workforce productivity.
Performance Management
- Manage performance appraisal systems and provide coaching to employees and managers.
- Support goal-setting and performance tracking to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Ensure fair and competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Support payroll processes and maintain accurate HR records.
Compliance & HR Reporting
- Ensure adherence to Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on workforce data and HR metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, or retail industries.
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
