About the Job

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Senior Vehicle Sales Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the sales Division Head in the overall vehicles’ sales activities of the Company; involve in the sales action plan preparation processes; monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts; provide complete and relevant information to customers; prepare pro forma invoices and sales orders; examine and respond to customer complaints; and keep sales documents safe.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of annual action plan and budget for vehicles sales activities of the company.
  • Explain customers about the make, quality, price, etc. of Company vehicles and promote the vehicles.
  • Ensure that customers understand the vehicle’s operating features, paperwork and warranty related issues.
  • Close sales by overcoming objection(s); complete sales or purchase contracts; explain provisions; offer services, warranties and financing; collect payment and deliver vehicle.
  • Ensure that vehicles are properly displayed in show rooms and that the show room is clean and attractive.
  • Follow-up on customer orders till delivery is finalized.
  • Prepare pro forma invoices, sales contract and sales orders.
  • Check vehicle sales contracts, issue orders, invoices and other relevant documents.
  • Follow-up any defects of vehicles if revealed during the handing over processes to ensure that it is corrected at company cost.
  • Investigate customer complaints and provide solution to problems causing those complaints.
  • Respond to sales inquiries in person or via phone, e-mail, fax, etc.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
  • Maintain customer’s data base for future reference.
  • Build positive relationship with customers by keeping good rapport, responding to inquiries, and undertaking sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Prepare work order based on the customer needs.
  • Maintain vehicles sales activity records and reports.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly semi-annually, and sales reports.

About You

Required Number           :  1(One)

Qualification                    :  Diploma or BA in Marketing, Supply Management or related field

Work Experience            :  8 years for Diploma and 6 years BA graduate in relevant role

Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer skill
  • Communication skill (both verbal and written)
  • Understanding of accounting or finance
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
