Job Summary

To maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost whilst maintaining standards

Key Responsibilities

Plant Availability

• Use Appropriate tools
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
• Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenances
• Carry out maintenance and report back to the shift engineer
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all equipment in production area.
• Participate in installation of new machines
• Inform shift mechanical engineer on major fault problems as per the escalation procedures.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations to all plant
• Work in team environment and be able to meet daily production goals.
• Carry out root cause failer analysis with shift mechanical engineer.
• Complete breakdown work orders, finalize and provide feedback.
• Deliver a service in accordance with customer requirements.
• Read and interpret machine drawings.
• Planning and execution of tasks.
• Recommends continuous improvement ideas to the Team Leader or the Shift Engineer and provides information related to technical issues and equipment problems
• Assist machine operators on special condition.
• Perform any other job assigned by the management as and when required

Implement SOP’s 

• Implement Maintenance SOP
• Implement 5s
• Implement WCM

Safety and housekeeping

• Maintain healthy and Safe working environment
• All operating machines inspected for faults to avoid accidents
• Area of responsibility kept clean
• Implement company safety standards.
• Apply lock out Tag out (LOTO) on maintenance interventions

Required Qualification and Experience

BSC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in  FMCG.
