Vacancy detail for Store Officer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Store Officer who will be responsible for the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of advanced equipment, spare parts, and other store items. The role requires accuracy, accountability, and the ability to handle different tools and technical materials with care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and record incoming equipment and materials.
- Organize and maintain proper storage of advanced equipment, ensuring safety and easy accessibility.
- Issue items against properly approved requests and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor stock levels, update inventory records, and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Support the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) or computerized inventory tracking tools.
- Ensure equipment is handled, labeled, and stored according to technical and safety standards.
- Assist in conducting periodic stock counts and audits.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
- Work closely with procurement and finance departments for smooth operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurements, Logistics, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 2 and above years of relevant work experience in storekeeping, preferably with exposure to advanced/technical equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office; knowledge of Sage and Peachtree and others related will be an advantage).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with English.
- Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision.
