Role Summary
We are looking for experienced Welders to join our maintenance crew. You will be responsible for cutting, joining, and fabricating metal parts for our production machinery and factory infrastructure. A high level of precision and a deep commitment to fire safety and structural integrity are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret welding blueprints and technical drawings.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Use various welding techniques, primarily SMAW (Stick) and GMAW (MIG), depending on the job requirements.
- Inspect welds for cracks, bubbles, or structural weaknesses and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain welding tools and machinery in safe, clean working condition.
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team on large-scale fabrication projects.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: TVET Level II or III in Welding and Fabrication or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
- Skills: * Mastery of different welding positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).
- Proficient in using grinders, torches, and metal cutting tools.
- Knowledge of metallurgy and the properties of different steel grades.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in hot environments, wear heavy protective gear, and stand for long periods.
