Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Workshop Manager with a strong mechanical engineering background and extensive expertise in welding, cutting, and workshop operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in English and a proven track record of over 20 years in the field, including 15 years of hands-on experience in welding and cutting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise workshop activities, including equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
- Lead a team of skilled workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and manage the workshop’s inventory, tools, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on workshop performance.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in the mechanical engineering field.
- At least 15 years of practical expertise in welding, cutting, and related workshop activities.
- Strong understanding of workshop equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge of welding and cutting techniques, tools, and standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
