Job Summary
Protech Solutions is looking for skilled and motivated Network Technicians to join our team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining physical media and network connectivity infrastructure, covering all activities from the node to the rack side, and for providing detailed analysis and documentation of all work conducted.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physical installations such as cabling, rack setup, equipment mounting, trunking, patch panels, cable managers, switches, access points, and other network devices according to project requirements.
- Use networking tools proficiently, including punch-down tool, crimper, network tester, fiber splicing machine, and labelling machine.
- Work hands-on with network devices, including routers, switches, access points, and different categories of cables.
- Work from drawings and designs.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and resolve hardware-related connectivity issues.
- Prepare detailed analysis and documentation of all work conducted.
- Use working materials properly and responsibly.
- Use a computer with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Communicate effectively with team members and staff.
- Keep up to date with IT-related learning.
- Be willing to travel to any project site.
About You
Education: TVET Level 2–4 in Networking or above.
- Experience: 1–3 years of field support experience in networking or related areas.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for on-site troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel frequently.
Preferred
- COC or equivalent, or other technical certification.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco certifications.
