Afei Holding Co. Ltd. (Addis Ababa Silk Road General Hospital) was constructed in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia in 2017 in an echo of the “Belt and Road Initiative” by AFEI Holding. This 14-story, new state-of-the-art hospital is committed to enhancing China-Africa’s unbreakable friendship and strengthening innovation and practice to improve healthcare in Africa. This new facility is designed for two specific groups: patients and their families and healthcare professionals.
ABOUT THE JOB
The main function of the Sr. ICU Nurse is to provide care and support to patients that are staying in a hospital’s ICU and require additional care than most patients. Their duties include monitoring vital signs, providing emergency response care, and managing a patient’s life support system maintenance.
In addition, the Sr. ICU Nurse is responsible for providing regular update reports to doctors and running diagnostic tests and should be able to rapidly respond to medical emergencies that their seriously ill patients may experience.
Job Requirements
- BSC in Nursing from an approved nursing institution.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) from the country of origin.
- Certificate in BLS and ACLS training.
- Profound knowledge in defibrillator utilization.
- Profound knowledge of Mechanical Ventilator
- Knowledge in Infusion Pump utilization and calculation.
- A minimum of five years of experience in ICU is preferable.
- good communication and collaboration skills.
- some computer skills.
- knowledge of the nursing profession.
- good observation skills.
- Team player.
- Language: Fluent in English (oral & written).
