About the Organization:
VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 which currently amended to 626/2009 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for Shift Electrician/Mechanic role. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
- Major Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining electrical systems
- Addressing any power outages, surges, or malfunctions that occur
- Coordinating with daytime staff to ensure any issues are resolved or handed over efficiently.
- Regular testing of backup power systems such as generators
- Perform power generator and electrical systems installation and maintenance
- Conducting preventive maintenance to mitigate future electrical issues.
- Attend the Data center (Ensure electrical power at the Data center running 24/7)
- Engage in Data Center preventive maintenance together with infrastructure team
- Perform hardware maintenance (Computers, Printer, Scanners, UPS)
- Inspects, maintains and repair generator sets
- Overhauls and rebuilds generator
- Prepares and submits monthly, quarterly and annual report to the supervisor.
About You
- Diploma in Electrical engineering
- Electrical and Mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a similar industrial or large facility setting at least 2 years’ experience in relevant positions
- Familiarity with generators and other similar equipment’s.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues under pressure.
- Availability for overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
