Integrated Family Service Organization (IFSO) is an indigenous non-governmental and not-for-profit Organization working towards the protection and empowerment of Vulnerable Children, girls, destitute Women, Families and the Community. Our organization is currently looking for a Senior Accountant.

Salary:

Terms of Employments:

• One year contract with the possibility of extension.

Place of Work:

• Addis Ababa

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Secures and records financial payments and transactions, coding & recording daily,
• Closes the account books and preparation of pre and post audit report at the end of the fiscal year.
• Prepares financial reports for the management and partners monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets
• Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation
• Preparation of monthly payroll and related deductions.
• Follow up petty cash and verifies documents for replenishment, withholding payments & settlements timely.
• Follow up bank timely transfers, deposits, withdrawals and collection of advices, cheque books and bank statement reconciliations.
• Control other financial activities.

Skills:

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft office: word, excel, Peachtree including IPSAS.
• Knowledge of local and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation.
• English language/ email communication; meeting deadlines.

• B.A. Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance;

Experience:

• 5 years and above experience and an NGO experience is more preferable;
