About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT, Withholding Tax, and other statutory tax filings.
- Implement within budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Support external and execute internal audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems.
- Monthly reconciliation of stock and inventory.
- Maintaining Purchase order in an organized way from department and vendor list.
- Reconciliation of purchase with store.
- Perform any other finance-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as an accountant, supervisory role in finance (Horticulture experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Ethiopian tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks).
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language Literacy: Fluent in English, is a must.
