Auto Body Technician (Body Man)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Remove dents, straighten frames, and replace damaged panels.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying finishing coats.
• Use welding and cutting tools to repair or replace damaged parts.
• Ensure all repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirement

• Experience with welding, painting, and frame straightening.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Qualifications

• College diploma or higher level or equivalent in General Mechanic, Welding, Manufacturing Technology, Automotive Technology or relevant

Experience

• 6 years of relevant experience out of which 3 years as Body Repair Technician in vehicle maintenance workshop and certification in automotive body repair or related field is preferred
