Main Responsibilities

Ensures the required availability for the production process of process automation and computerization systems at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Safetycreate and maintain a safe environment for employees, contractors, and visitors according to the local regulations, rules, standards, and procedures.

  • Carry out routine department safety inspections/ audits (e.g., SHE, BBS, 5S, CILT, STOP) and take corrective and preventive measures if needed
  • Plan, organize, and execute work respecting safety requirements
  • Monitor and improve implementation of LOTO and permit work procedure by using engineering knowledge about working principles of machines and processes
  • Acts as a role model for safety behavior and leads by example.

2. Maintenance Processes Management: use performance indicators and deployments to reduce input (e.g. cost, resources) and increase output (e.g. equipment performance) of maintenance processes.

  • Make (loss) deployments for areas of responsibility to identify gaps for continuous improvement
  • Identify appropriate TPM tools (e.g. RCA) and use them properly to close the gap in performance
  • Controls maintenance activities, prioritizes work and organizes/ mobilizes resources to overcome problems in day-to-day operations
  • Continuously collaborates with all stakeholders and seeks ways to improve maintenance service
  • Delivers timely information about ongoing work and ensures critical services are delivered
  • Optimizes maintenance processes and speeds them up by delegating authority and responsibility (and improving ownership), while maintaining overall accountability

3. Maintenance Engineering: maintain and optimize the maintenance systems (e.g. CMMS, planning system, visual management), in order to maximize the cost-effectiveness of the assets.

  • Create detailed standards for maintenance tasks (e.g. time, tools, parts, instructions, inspection criteria) based on the supplier’s recommendation, equipment history, engineering knowledge, etc.
  • Facilitate maintenance analysis (BDA, RCFA) and ensure the quality of the analysis
  • Prepare the lists of risks and overhaul spare parts based on equipment history, maintenance plans, weak component analysis, ABC deployment, BDA, and other TPM tools.

4. Maintenance Execution Control: effectively control and improve the execution of maintenance work.

  • Coach technicians and control maintenance schedule delivery
  • Assigns work according to the technician development plan, assists and ensures the quality of work delivered
  • improves the skills of technicians. Evaluates yearly and build a comprehensive action plan for each person (personal development plan for technical skills).
  • Organize, execute, and validate all projects, and modifications required on electrical installations
  • Support with troubleshooting and support to (senior) shift technicians, in case of problems
  • Organize safe and effective start-up and shut down of the brewery in case of power disruptions
  • Assess, train, and/or organize training for electricians, shift technicians, dayshift technicians, and operators regarding electrical work.
  • Ensure all electrical repairable components are effectively repaired and controlled
  • Organize all required calibrations on the production instrumentation according to the maintenance plans
  • Provide input on the brewery’s calibration plans
  • Organize the automation workshop
  • Ensure all automation-related repairable components are effectively repaired and controlled
  • Organize all required automation maintenance is performed effectively
  • Accountable for version management of software of production facilities
  • Perform breakdown analysis (BDA)
  • Participate in TPM PM teams for breakdowns and short-stops reduction
  • Prepare, engineer, execute and evaluate required software or automation modifications
  • Organize thirds party services with regards to automation support (e.g. “teleservice” and emergency support)
  • Support the production team in translation of technical requirements from new product/recipe developments and implementation of these changes via modifications.
  • Develop and maintain a database of all brewery PA/PI equipment (e.g. settings, sensitivity, parameters, reach, etc.)
  • Meet the operational output plan, and work towards the reduction of operational losses such as breakdowns, changeover times and minor stops, and production inputs.
  • Should be willing to travel in shifts to support shift crews.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills

  • BSC in Electrical Engineering/Electro-Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of three years of proven experience.
  • Preferably working in FMCG companies.
