About the Job
The objective of this assignment is to request the intervention of expertise to work on a detailed supply chain for Almeta Impex PLC. the result of the assignment will inform Almeta Impex of locations to supply its products, the women and youth groups/individuals to engage in retail of the products and economics of the supply chain with costs and revenue at each nodes of the supply chain and for the different supply chain. The expert will develop a sustainable business model that will create an economically and socially viable supply chain for fruits and vegetables. About You
Qualifications, skills, and experience required
The proposal must demonstrate that it will have the personnel for the key positions that meet the following requirements. Interested consultant is expected to meet the following requirements:
- PhD/Masters in Agri-business and Value chain, Agricultural Economics, Rural development, international development and other related social fields
- Demonstrated experience and track record on working with private sector investments and local actors (women and youth groups, MSMEs, government support functions, financial service providers especially for MSMEs)
- Solid experience in Value chain/supply chain/market analysis, financial analysis. Working with individual and MSMEs of youth and women
- Good understanding of the nature of supply chain and markets of fruits and vegetables
- Ability to mobilize and organize a multi-disciplinary professional team for the said assignment Market analysis, financial analysis and commodity knowledge, GESI and MSMEs support
- Language proficiency written & spoken in English, and Amharic
- Adhering to SNV policies, principles and core values including ethical standards, code of conduct and safeguarding
