Background

The International Institute for Primary Health Care Ethiopia (IPHC-E) is established by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health with the technical support from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. It envisions becoming a global Center of Excellence in Primary Health Care (PHC). IPHC-E under the National PHC support is engaged in building capacity in leadership and governance, test innovative approaches and support the PHC improvement initiatives. IPHC-E closely works with local and international partners in documenting best practices and lessons to improve PHC service delivery and programs. IPHC-E is looking for individual consultants to document best practices and lessons learned from the IPHCSD project.

Purpose of the Call

The purpose of this call is to develop consultants’ pool to document the best practices and lessons learned from the IPHCSD project implementation.

 The Consultants roles will include:

  • Participate in initial planning meetings
  • Develop proposal and data collection tools for IRB approval
  •  Incorporate feedback to finalize the proposal and obtain ethical clearance
  • Conduct an extensive literature review, examining relevant policies, strategies, and project documents.
  • Use appropriate methodologies to gather and analyze data, documenting findings accurately.
  • Develop a comprehensive draft report, Present draft findings to IPHC E staff and selected stakeholders.
  • Prepare final report

About You

 Minimum qualifications: 

  • A minimum of master’s degree in health sciences, or health related disciplines, PhD in health sciences or related preferred
  •  A minimum of five (5) years of work experiences
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of the Ethiopian Primary health care system
  • Previous experience in conducting best practice documentation and lesson learned
  •  A good knowledge of data analysis packages
