Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Learning

  • Create and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum of England.
  • Incorporate diverse teaching strategies to stimulate student interest and accommodate different learning styles.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with special educational needs, as well as gifted and talented learners.
  • Foster an active, collaborative classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and teamwork.
  • Use high-order questioning techniques to challenge students and promote deeper analysis.

2. Assessment and Evaluation

  • Monitor student progress using regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to guide student growth.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and communicate progress to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), parents, and caregivers.

3. Classroom Management and Organization

  • Establish an inclusive, respectful, and positive classroom culture.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies that promote a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Organize and optimize physical learning spaces to facilitate collaboration.
  • Maintain consistent daily classroom routines and expectations.

4. Safeguarding, Health, and Safety

  • Strictly adhere to school child protection, safeguarding, and welfare policies.
  • Conduct regular classroom risk assessments to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Actively supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school events.

5. Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Partner with the Achievement Centre team to develop individualized learning plans for students requiring extra support.
  • Work closely with the Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteachers, Learner Leaders, and Phase Leaders.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide community events.
  • Contribute to regular curriculum reviews and extracurricular school clubs.

Person Specification & Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and absolute commitment to confidentiality.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience working within an international school setting utilizing the British Curriculum.
  • Professional Certificate in Pedagogy or advanced teaching methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet strict operational deadlines.
