LionHeart Academy is seeking enthusiastic, caring, energetic, and motivated individuals to join our Preschool Department as Early Years Teaching Assistants. This position is ideal for Grade 12 graduates, university students, and individuals interested in pursuing careers in Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Child Development, or related fields.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. This role provides valuable hands-on experience for individuals who are passionate about working with children and wish to grow within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and learning experiences.

• Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and learning materials.

• Help supervise and support students during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions.

• Encourage positive social, emotional, and behavioral development.

• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.

• Support teachers in documenting student learning and development.

• Participate in school events, activities, and professional development opportunities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum Grade 12 completion.

• Strong interest in working with young children.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with children.

• Studies or training in Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Child Development, or related fields. • Good English communication skills.
