Executive summary

A Finance Manager oversees an organization’s financial operations, ensuring long-term sustainability and profitability. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk analysis. They provide strategic insights to senior leadership, manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise with stakeholders

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

1. Plans, organizes, directs, supervise and controls the work of the Finance and Accounting Department;
2. Ensures that the organization’s resources are used economically and efficiently for appropriate and approved activities only.
3. It issues financial guidelines and implements them when approved.
4. It prepares the operating and capital budget of the organization and implements them when approved.
5. Ensures that the organization’s sales and miscellaneous services revenues are collected on time and payments are made correctly, and monitors that they are recorded accurately and on time;
6. Prepares and submits the organization’s profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and cash utilization report /Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statement/, general annual financial statements, and performance report.
7. Ensures that miscellaneous expenses are prepared in accordance with the guidelines and regulations, approves payments, monitors and verifies that they are made on time,
8. Advises on the organization’s annual cash requirements, studying alternative sources of funding and analyzing their benefits and drawbacks.
9. Monitors and ensures that costs are properly allocated and utilized in each cost center and takes appropriate action in a timely manner as needed.
10. In accordance with the organization’s guidelines and regulations, the inventory of goods and assets is conducted monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, and every 9 months, and the annual inventory is verified and reconciled with the records. The inventory is monitored and verified to ensure that a timely report is prepared.
11. Supervises the accounting system and ensures that the accounting system is modern and up to date.
12. Ensures that accounting work is in compliance with regulatory agencies and the guidelines issued by the organization and ensures that government agricultural taxes are paid on time.
13. Payroll is prepared, approved and paid at the end of the month, between the 27th and 30th.
14. . Collects VAT reporting materials from those concerned and ensures their timely payment;
15. Prepares and reports the organization’s cash position on a weekly basis.
16. . Submits monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, nine-monthly and annual performance reports, and submits special reports when requested by the party requesting the information, as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

• MA /BA degree in Accounting/Finance and Accounting in a related field from a recognized university/college,

IFRS Training

• Using Accounting Software

Experience:

• 8/10 years of work experience, with at least 4 years in a responsible position

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and others accounting software

Competencies:

• High attention to detail, strong analytical and mathematical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of book keeping principles and regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
